- Exercise (of course). Find something I like and do it somewhat consistently.
- Start and finish writing that YA novel.
- Work on shorter pieces and send more stuff out –> Get at least one freaking piece published this year!
- Write a little every day. Maybe even wake up a teensy bit earlier to do some exercise and then freewriting and/or working on other writing.
- Travel more.
- Spend more time with cat. Meow.
- Make more lists because I actually am able to accomplish things on them.

Did I already blog this?
6 08 2015Or did I merely think it?
I’m going to try and finish a draft — if not, the final draft — of my entire memoir by the end of the month. And the crazy thing is that I think I can do it.

Goals back in high school
10 06 2013While I was cleaning earlier today, I came across my old agenda from high school. Most of it was boring crap about assignments, but every so often, I answered the philosophical questions posed by the makers of the agenda, usually in some sort of angsty way.
One was about goals and being driven to do stuff. The question they ask is “Did you record a goal last month? Great, have you started moving on it yet? No? Then it’s time to create a game plan. Write in your baby steps here:”
Here’s what I wrote.
1. Get money.
2. Go to a store.
3. Buy a new life.
4. Apply liberally.
5. Enjoy the outstanding effects!
Oh, how witty my 17 year old self was.

Another year over
1 01 2012According the email wordpress sent me, I posted 259 new posts this past year, which far succeeded my goal of 182 posts that I had set.
My goal for 2012: 280 posts.
This year’s already started off kind of dramatically. I’m not going to post what happened, but let’s just say that it was a first of many things, in both good and bad ways.
It’s the year of the dragon and things are supposed to be awesome for me since I’m a dragon. Let’s see how 2012 goes.
Be good to me, 2012.

Hello, July
1 07 2010One of my monthly goals last month was to write a lot, which I didn’t really accomplish. And since this blog has gotten a whole bunch of views which I attribute to my last entry, I’m going to force myself to write more. I’ve come up with some ideas for blog entries that actually excite me to think about writing. In addition to writing, I’m going to try and do a lot of re-writing/editing on scripts/stories and once that’s done, looking at places to send them.
In the meantime, have a funky Canada Day, y’all.
Oh, and if you have an idea for a topic or subject that might be fun for me to write about, I’d love to hear your suggestions since I’m kind of getting tired of talking about my lack of love life and why it lacks love and substance.
Aaron
