Scott Pilgrim Vol. 2: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

As enjoyable as the Scott Pilgrim comics are, I gotta thank the writers of the film adaptation for cutting a lot of stuff out and making it more dramatic, particularly during the fight with Lucas Lee. The pacing of the comics is surprisingly all over the place in this book, going from intense fighting with Lucas to sitting down and having a drink with him, to challenging him to the disappointingly anticlimactic skateboard rail thing.

Anyway, this is still pretty cool. Also, I like the pretty colours.

Also also, I think my body looks strange here.

Scott Pilgrim vol. 1: Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life

I thought this would be a longer read, but it only took me less than an hour to read through it. And it’s so funny! I’ve seen the film and I loved it, and I think the film lives up to the charm and awesomeness of the graphic novel. I will admit that this one felt a bit short, but seeing as how there are six books that presumably feature one ex a book, I’m not that bothered by it. The dialogue’s great, the characters are absolutely wonderful, drawings are surprisingly interestingly framed and colorful, and I LOVE the fact that it’s set in Canada. Hell yeah! Can’t wait to read the second book!

Also, here is me again half-naked after a workout. Notice how nothing has really changed.
