I have begun to forget you,
so I inhale the cocaine of your scent
still on me.
Claw my skin like a scratch-and-sniff
trying to get every last hydrocarbon
to stimulate
the sense of memory
But time is fleeting,
as are you,
and you fade away,
the shadow of your car disappearing down the
empty street.
