Officially entered

I’ve officially entered the CBC Canada Writes Competition.  I’m actually a little surprised I was able to write my story in time, to be honest.  About ten days ago, I thought for sure I wouldn’t have time to do it especially with this paper coming up and planning the reading/fundraiser I’ve been planning for a while.  But I did it!  With one day to spare.  Suck on that.

I would like to thank my good friend Stefan for helping me edit my piece down to the word limit.  There’s no way I would’ve been able to cut 200 words from my story without him.  I don’t feel like my story was that well-written, but I think I have a somewhat good story.  Or maybe I’m being too self-critical.  Now we’ll just wait and see in a few months what happens…
