30 Day Song Challenge: Day 11: A song from your favourite band

Upon thinking about which song to choose for today, I realized that I’m not a super-fan of a lot of bands out there.  Most of the music I listen to comes from singer-songwriters.  I like the occasional song from random bands, but I don’t know why I haven’t gotten into any groups as much.  Hmm.

In any case, I’ve chosen the band from Massachusettes, Guster!  I believe I first discovered them when the video for “One Man Wrecking Machine” was playing on muchmusic’s The Wedge program — which I thought was their program for “weird” videos/music, but the video isn’t that weird… — and after that, I wrote down the name of the band and proceeded to search them up after.  Eventually, I discovered their amazing, super-catchy stuff and have fallen in love with them ever since.

It was a toss-up between “Careful” and “Keep it Together”, both from Keep It Together, which is one of my favourite albums of all time.  There are so many good things about it that I can’t even begin to describe it… maybe I’ll attempt to do that a different day.  Anyway, I went with “Careful” because 1. I couldn’t find a studio album version of it on youtube and 2. I feel like “Careful” is a good intro song for people who haven’t heard their music before.
